1. This week we FINALLY finished our Animal Research Reports!!!!

I LOVE completing these projects with the kids each year, but WHEW-I'm glad when they're finished.

 Next week we'll be sharing our animal reports during our end of the year celebration with parents. I finished tying the ribbon on each report today, so they are completely set to go.

 

2. We also learned more about Memorial Day on Tuesday and created these super adorable soldier crafts!

Five for Friday/Peek at my Week! With a FREEBIE and WINNERS ANNOUNCED!!

 

 

1. Ya'll KNOW it's Monday. It's most definitely NOT Friday. So I have to start with this first, in honor of all of the men and women who have and are currently still serving for our country!

2. Last week I had thought I was just tired from the 12 kinds of crazy that is the end of the year.

I was SO WRONG.

Tuesday our little guy had a high fever ALL day and night.

Wednesday the hubs took him to the doctor and found out he had contracted hand/foot/mouth.

If you know anything about H/F/M (which I for one, did not) the incubation period is 3-6 days BEFORE symptoms.

What a sneaky, devilish little virus.

After the hubs took the little man to the doctor Wednesday he said, "You know if anybody gets it from him it'll be you."

Thanks for the vote of confidence, honey.

Of course I was the lucky winner to get a sinus infection AND H/F/M.

Needless to say, we had lots of snuggles and pj's this weekend!

 

3. On Thursday last week, I hosted a Be the Match donor drive at my school's carnival!

We had 6 staff members and 2 parents join the registry, and I'm so proud and excited to say I was one of those 8 people!!

If you haven't gotten updated information on bone marrow donation, PLEASE do so!

Over 80% of the donors today donate by a procedure similar to giving blood platelets!

It's really that easy to SAVE A LIFE!

I hope I receive a call someday to BE THE MATCH!!!!

 

4. A little out of order, but my birthday was last week! I got a sweet edible arrangement and 2 balloons from the hubs delivered to school!

I was so very surprised and thrilled he remembered my special day! :)

I received so many lovely cards, notes, hugs, and presents from my kiddos that day as well!

I will definitely share more of those pictures AND pictures from our field trip later in the week when I have more energy back!

With my absence last week, we're finishing our final copies of our Animal Research Reports this week! We're also working on practicing our presentations for out End of the Year Celebration next week!

Top Ten SWEET SUMMA' Time Things!

I'm linking up with the fabulous Mrs. Jump to bring you my list of 10 things I want to do this summer!

Of course, I have a gazillion things on my school "to-do" list.. but I added a few on here! :)

 

1. spend time OUTside soaking up the sweet summa' time sunshine!

 We'll be doing LOTS of playing outside!

 

2. This goes without saying- spending as much quality time with my handsome little man as possible!! I just can't seem to get enough time with him :)

 

3. ROAD TRIP!!

We're hoping to take our first family vacation this summer!!

(I'm secretly hoping for it to involve some sort of beach or ocean)

4. DAB it up!

I've had this on my to-do list all year, but I'm going to create sets for each word list (K-2 at least) and then create a bundle pack. I'm thinking I may even create a few fluency phrase packs!



 5. Fairy Tale Bundle!

I'll be adding my update to The Little Red Hen and then bundling each set I already have in my TpT shop!

6. Word Family and Phonics Packs-

I'd like to have at least 20 of each finished and ready to bundle by the end of the summer!

Currently I have 14 Word Family and 12 Phonics packs posted.

I also have plans to bundle my Word Family games!

 

7. Guided Reading- I have a set that I've created and have been using for years, but since I opened my shop in the fall I haven't gotten around to posting it yet, but it WILL happen this summer!

 8. Another product that I used but didn't get to finish for TpT- a superhero ELA unit.

This will definitely be fun when it's posted!

 

9. Parent/Volunteer gifts- I'd like to create and bundle gift ideas and tags as a huge FREEBIE this summer! They will be similar to this one available in my TpT shop listed now as a freebie.  

 10. BUNDLES! I think my theme for the school portion of my list so far has been bundles!

Haha.

This summer I will also be bundling my How-to writing packs, center packs, and finishing my monthly journals to bundle!

 

There are SOOOOO many things on my list I didn't include here.. reading, starting a work out regimen, spending time with family.... I can't WAIT to get started!!

 It's the time of year where we are all assessing like crazy!

I'm hoping to finish all of my assessments this week so that we can focus on just having fun the rest of the year!

Our week this week includes my birthday (more on that celebration later!), our field trip, a carnival, and a few parent conferences.

 

For Math this week, we're working on decomposing and composing numbers to 20.

Monday we're using plain, iced, and chocolate Animal Crackers and these little work mats below!
