Saturday Selling the Sizzle Wrap-up!

This post is coming to you a little late... but we finally had warm weather last night and today! Ohio's weather is ever changing and completely unpredictable, so I had to take advantage of the warmer weather and we played outside! My little man loves crusin' around :)

This past week was all about our first Fairy Tale Unit, Jack and the Beanstalk! Friends, they were ENGAGED with their learning this week! They were making connections and telling ME why each version of Jack and the Beanstalk was a Fairy Tale, and how it related to the other versions we read! On Friday our book order from Scholastic came in. Let me just tell you- it's a good thing they ship to the school, because my husband does NOT need to know how many little red and white boxes are delivered with my name on them! Haha! I digress... we read this version of a fractured Fairy Tale- it was hilarious! I loved the modernized plot and the vocabulary was amazing.

In addition to our other writing projects this week, we wrote about our favorite characters from the story!
We had our 6 week writing assessments this week, so the Who's narrated a time when they were injured! You can find the writing pack here.
Here are a few new listings we are using next week!
My Shamrocks and St. Patrick's Day unit received a MAJOR overhaul, going from 21 pages to 93 pages! AND it's on SALE!
