Five for Friday- Spring Break edition!

http://doodlebugsteaching.blogspot.com/
I'm linking up this week for Doodle Bugs Five for Friday!

Here's 5 random-ish things from my Spring Break week!

First things first, meet the newest member of our family!
 My new baby cousin....
Elijah Alexander Fife weighed 6lbs 12oz and was 19in long! He was born at 6:33a.m last Friday!

How sweet is he?!

2. The ZOO! My mom and I took the day to shop and take the little man to the Zoo! This was his reaction when we told him where we were going! Hahaha!

I have NO IDEA where all his facial expressions come from.
No, none AT ALL. ;)

3. While at the Zoo, we just HAD to go into the petting zoo part.
Of course we did.
Of.Course.
Can I just say that Columbus, OH has the best Zoo ever!?
HOWEVER... the "petting zoo" needs a little help.
It's full of GOATS.
and more GOATS.
and baby GOATS.
and big, fat, hairy GOATS.

Have you been reading since this summer? If you have, you know that I was ATTACKED by a GOAT.
True story.
I could have been featured on an episode of, "When Goats Attack."
If there was a show.
I could be the spokesperson.

So now you can understand why this was torturous.

My baby. My sweet baby boy. Wanting to pet the GOATS.
People, he was even wanting to climb into their HOME.
And by home, I mean their stinky poop infested barn full of GOATS.
I'll say it now,
I.Could.Not.Deal.Living.On.A.Farm.

Well, as any good mother would, we petted the devil goats.
I survived.
I had a death grip on my little man ready to scoop him up at the first sign of a devil goat attack,
but we saw the goats.

See that poor fellow leaning so casually against the fence?
I'm not saying it happened,
but he very EASILY could have been drop kicked by the devil a goat, or pulled backwards over the fence by  the devil a goat.

It could have happened.
He could've been on the next episode of "When Goats Attack."

3. Ninja Turtles!! We finally found the ORIGINAL Ninja Turtles to introduce to our little man!
He is hooked!
Excuse the tool bench.
A boy lives in my home.
A boy that must play. :)

4. We visited AHA! Kid's Museum today.
It was AWESOME!
Best $5 admission I have ever paid!
The boy was running WILD!

5. These amazing ladies. My teammates. My friends! They went with us to the museum today! :)

That's it for my crazy awesome week!

  4. No, no, no, I'M your newest follower!.. LOVED the goat story. I don't have any problem with goats... well, except for those eyes... but I should tell you the story of how my daughter, then three years old, and I could have been on an episode of "When Geese Attack." Funny story now, as was yours, but NOT then! Feel your pain, love your storytelling skills. I gotta get in on this Five for Friday thing- great to hear about teaching, and life in general, too. Thanks!

    1. Hahaha! Thanks for following, Kathleen! Geese and I aren't enemies... but we aren't friend either! :) Growing up we lived off a main river in Ohio and the geese were everywhere! They are definitely not friendly! Haha.
