I can't wait to see how my kiddos respond to this new close reading unit.

There are 3 passages with varying levels of text, all on the same topic.

On Monday the kids will be broken up into skill groups.

We will complete the first page of our interactive notebook together, similar to a KWL, and the groups will read the passage.

The rest of the week we'll be focusing on vocabulary, text dependent questions, and a writing extension.
