Hello friends!
I'm a thirty something blogging, TpTing, crafting, music loving, 2nd grade teacher from Ohio!
I love to grab my coffee filled Tervis and teach, share, create, inspire, and connect with others who have a passion for teaching!
In 2008 I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Bachelor's degree. Immediately I began pursuing my Masters degree to become a certified teacher. Fast forward to the summer of 2010, where I graduated with my Masters degree and a Pre-K-3 Reading Specialist Endorsement.
In the fall, I received a position teaching Kindergarten at a charter school.
The next 4 years of my teaching career were spent in two different low socio-economic and low support charter schools, with 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch.
Although these were the most challenging years, they definitely shaped me into the teacher I am today and I wouldn't change my journey for anything!
2013 brought new laws in Ohio (of course!) and I went back to Muskingum University to receive my K-12 Reading Endorsement.
In 2014 I was blessed to receive a position teaching 2nd grade in my hometown, the district I grew up in! It has been such a joy to be back closer to my family and the community I grew up in!
As you can see, my son and I love being silly together! Reading books, laughing, playing with monster trucks (who am I kidding, anything with wheels!), and getting outdoors are our favorite!
